0 blade

Great addition to my Brio beardscape. This 0 blade definitely does its job. However my beard I don't feel it brought my stubble down as far to the skin as I was thinking or maybe my facial hair maybe not as thick idk. But it does work and brings the hair down pretty short. Good addition to the Beardscape.

It’s ok

I enjoy listening to “Alpha M.” He endorsed Brio’s products. I purchased the razor then purchased the zero blade because without it you can not get a close shave or line up your beard. That’s not ok. The guides are also very hard sharp plastic and it’s easy to scratch your face while using them. I’m into this product for $100 and I don’t think it’s as good as the $37 Norelco OneBlade. I wish it was, I thought I was upgrading.

Hi Ray,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm so sorry to hear your guards are uncomfortable. I'm going to reach out via email to see about getting you a new set. Guards (and all trimmer parts) are covered by a two-year warranty so we want to make sure they're working for you.

Best,

Sydney

Not too close

The Philips one blade crushes the brio zero blade in close shave ability.

Thank you for submitting a review of the Zero Blade. The Philips One Blade is more of a hybrid razor/trimmer, so it's a bit of a different animal than the Zero Blade. The Zero Blade will cut as close as any trimmer can without actually being a razor (.2mm about the height of two sheets of printer paper). The Philips One Blade may shave a little closer than the Zero Blade, but it also won't be nearly as durable since it has to be replaced every four months. The Zero Blade will last many years without having to be replaced, and it won't ever lose any sharpness. We are always here to help atSupport@Brio4Life.com, please don't ever hesitate to reach out!

Not as good as other zero gap blades

I was excited to try this pre adjusted zero gap blade. But upon trying it, it was not cutting as clean or as sharp as other zero gap blades that I have tried. I even had my barber try the blades on me and he thought they were just okay. It did not cut as well as his trimmers. He even made sure the blade was well oiled before and during my appointment. I would not recommend this blade for anyone with course/curly hair. But I do appreciate Brio gifting the zero gap blade as a promotion.

Too close for comfort

Cuts and nicks bad. Better off using the regular guard and just going with the 1mm stubble or get a regular razor for the close shave.

Really nice blade

This blade is a Reilly nice addition- I use it to blend my neck (you can use it for a natural fade into your neck or to define edges)

I’ve tried modifying blades on other trimmers (they even sell a tool to help with the modification) and have ALWAYS ended up with a bad adjustment which can be dangerous and can totally cut you !

This blade is the PERFECT ZERO - close as it can be and still safe !

I’m not sure it’s worth it

I’ve owned the Brio Beardscape for almost a year now.

It’s been amazing and you have the 4 micro adjustments that you can make with any guard or with no guard. Having no guard on with the closest micro adjustment setting didn’t seem to be enough.

My skin is sensitive to shave unless the razor is brand new every time, so I thought this would be my answer. Well, the good news is that it doesn’t irritate my skin. The bad news is you have to use it every day or every other day to maintain a “somewhat” clean, well outlined shave.

When you compare this to the closest micro adjustment setting, you can barely tell a difference. I’m attaching a photo… one side is done with the original Beardscape micro adjust blade and the other side is done with the zero blade. (The rash is from petting my dog, not the blades)

All in all, the “zero” blade should be a closer cut and it should be INCLUDED with the $80-$100 Beardscape purchase… not just when they’re running Alpha M specials.

I’m upset that I spent $25 on it and do not recommend it.

Hi Peyton, sorry for the trouble. Neck hair can be difficult since it can swirl in many directions, on top of that it can be a very sensitive area for many people. To get a really close cut with the zero blade its best to cut against the grain (or the natural direction your hair grows). A good trick to figure this out is to rub the hair on your neck and see which direction feels more pokey. cutting in that direction will generally result in a closer cut. Again, this can be tricky on your neck because hair often grows in many different directions.
Another issue to note. If you are looking for a "near shaven" look, there aren't any methods that are going to last more than a day or two before looking a bit too long. This is just the nature of how facial hair grows (hence the term 5 o'clock shadow). The only solution here is laser removal.
We keep the Zero blade separate (most of the times) so we can offer the trimmer alone at a lower price.

Good but not great

Have to use the trimmer on full speed to really get the cuts you want. Really good for creating lines. I would get just to have it whenever you need your hair just a little lower than the trimmer goes.
